Every girl develops at her own pace, so there’s no “right” age for a first bra. Cupcakes is designed for girls who are ready for their first bra or looking for a comfortable everyday bra as they grow, generally between ages 7–14.

There’s no perfect time! She may start asking for one, want a little more coverage under clothes, or simply feel more comfortable wearing one. We recommend letting her lead the way.

All you need is one measurement. Wrap a soft measuring tape snugly around the ribcage, directly underneath the bust, keeping the tape straight and parallel to the floor. Then use our Size Guide to find her Cupcakes size.

We developed the Buttercream Bra with our proprietary fabric blend to feel exceptionally soft, stretchy and comfortable from the very first wear.

With Lycra in the outer fabric, it has a smooth, flexible feel that moves with her body without feeling restrictive. Inside, a cotton-rich lining provides an extra-soft layer against sensitive areas, where comfort matters most.

The outer fabric is made from 65% nylon and 35% Lycra while the inner fabric is made from 95% BCI cotton and 5% spandex.

What is BCI Cotton? BCI cotton means the cotton was sourced through the Better Cotton program, which focuses on improving cotton farming practices, including reducing environmental impacts and supporting farming communities.
